Motorola Introduces MOTOFONE: A New Slim Phone With A New Type Of Ultra-Clear Display
I don't report much on "phone announcements", since it generally takes much longer for us, consumers, to be able to actually get a hold of the device. A frustrating reality. But Motorola has been mostly focusing on their flagship models: RAZR, PEBL and SILVR and not launching many new devices. So this is... surprising!

But Motorola has been mostly focusing on their flagship models: RAZR, PEBL and SILVR and not launching many new devices. So this is... surprising! The MOTOFONE will be aimed at the growing markets of the thrid world and Motorola says it wants to: "empower these new users to embrace mobile communication with confidence and style." The MOTOFONE will feature "ClearVision" a new type of display they claim is easier to view in sunlight. It's also Motorola's thinnest phone so far, at about just 9mm or 0.35 inches thick.
